“The 10,000 Hours” is a documentary series that follows emerging musicians in Charlotte, NC, as they dedicate themselves to mastering their craft. Inspired by the idea that it takes 10,000 hours to achieve greatness, each episode explores the personal journeys, struggles, and creative growth of artists shaping the sound and soul of the Queen City.
“The 10,000 Hours of Emily June”
An independent music documentary that follows the Carolina Indie Folk Singer/Songwriter Emily June and her journey of finding herself as a musician, recording her debut album "notes for when I lose myself", forming her band, and then it all leads up to her getting ready to leave for a month and a half long tour across the US and Canada with Indie Twang singer songwriter and friend Ali Forrest over the summer.
“Te’Jani: Life of the Party”
Te’Jani, is an indie rocker and sound engineer based in Charlotte, NC that I first met at The Evening Muse open-mic. His music, which dates back to 2018 on streaming platforms, continues to evolve with every release. This has all built up to his latest album released titled: LIFE OF THE PARTY.
“The Secret Formula to Lovin’ Life”
Charlotte's Secret Formula Band earns a spot at Lovin' Life Music Festival after winning a battle of the bands.
“The 10,000 Hours of Low Groves”
Adam Naliwajko, known as Low Groves, is an indie-folk artist from Chicago who found a welcoming music scene after moving to Charlotte. From experimenting with GarageBand in his grandparents basement, to performing at some of Charlotte’s top venues—including The Underground, Visulite Theater, and The Evening Muse—Low Groves continues his pursuit of mastery. This is the story behind his music.
